It's secure and it's safe. Most of all, it's way more convenient than mailing or bringing your payment to us. (Of course, you still can if you want to.)
An Explanation of Your Bill & Payment Options
Your Electric Bill is mailed on the last day of each month. For a discount, please remit your payment by the 15th. The front of each MELD bill states your electric power usage, the range of dates, the rate, any discounts, your record of usage for the past 12 months and the amount due.
In addition to the new online billpay service, we still also accept Cash and Checks at our office and Checks sent via mail.
MELD bills are mailed on the last business day of the month. You are eligible for a discount if you pay in full by the 15th of the month. If this date lands on a weekend, discount deadline is the next business day (applies to 10% of your Energy Charge, not including purchase power). All bills are due upon Receipt.

Terms & Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions of the department where not inconsistent shall be a part of every service classification, requirement precedent to the initial or continuing supply of electricity by the Department. No agent or employee of the department is authorized to modify, change or waive any of these Terms and Conditions by oral agreeement or representation.
